Video & Collaboration Services provides a terabyte-class storage server for storing large amounts of digital video. Access is provided by FTP for upload, and FTP or HTTP for download. Files may be either accessible to internet users for streaming or other access, or accessible only to the owner. We are able to store Real Media, Windows Media, and Quicktime files.

Video storage disk quota can be purchased in 1-gigabyte units, on a semesterly basis. The fee for media storage is $25 per gigabyte per semester. A breakdown of pricing for all services provided by Video & Collaboration Services visit our pricing page.

For the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 fiscal years, the Office of Academic Technology will fund the first gigabyte of media storage for each official numbered UF course, free of charge, as part of a Video Services pilot program. Addition gigabytes can be purchased at the regular rate.

Visit the Office of Academic Technology's Streaming Media Server page for more information on signing up for an account.
