Endpoint Certification Requirements
Endpoints that are certified will receive support and services from VCS. Endpoints must meet the requirements indicated below in order to be certified.
To begin the certification process use this form to provide the following information to VCS:
- Endpoint Make and Model
- Endpoint Serial Number
- Endpoint UF Decal Number
- Endpoint Software / Firmware version
- Endpoint Internal MCU Capacity
- Endpoint MAC Address
- Portable or Fixed Endpoint
- Site support staff name, phone #, email, . . .
- Building, Room #(s), City, State
- IP Address
- NAT?
- Firewall?
- QoS
Requirements
1. The endpoint must be registered with the VCS gatekeeper:
- H.323 Name (assigned by user and reasonably descriptive)
- H.323 Number (assigned by VCS)
- Endpoint must remain registered w/ the GK (128.227.156.75)
- Strongly recommended that endpoint is powered on and registered 24/7
2. The endpoint must meet minimum software / hardware requirements:

3. Endpoint must be kept under maintenance contract unless the model is ‘end of life’.
4. Admin password must be set:
- The admin password must be provided to VCS
- District support must have the password
- Password must not be the default password
- Password must not written on the device
- Non-support staff should not have the password
- Point testing
- Multi-point testing
- Content sharing testing
- Stability testing
